The PLANET VRT-401G is a 802.11g compliant Wireless VPN Firewall Router that is designed for sharing Internet connection to user's LAN and WLAN at the same time. It supports 64/128-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), WPA-PSK, WPA, WPA2 Encryption and MAC/IP filter access control for securing wireless network connection. The VRT-401G supports not only AP mode, but also AP Client, Bridge and WDS modes; in other words, it provides more flexibility for users to establish their wireless network.

The VRT-401G provides complete data security and privacy for access and exchange most sensitive data, built-in IPSec VPN function with DES/3DES/AES encryption and MD5/SHA-1 authentication, PPTP and L2TP server/client mechanism, the full VPN capability in VRT-401G makes the connection solid security, flexibility, and capability.

Furthermore, the VRT-401G integrates user access control and SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall protection, which can offers high efficiency and extensive protection for your network. The Virtual Server and DMZ function can let you setup servers in the Intranet and still provide services to the Internet users.
