The typical installation of PLANET NAS-7200 can be completed in less than ten minutes without any additional configuration of other servers or clients in your network. As a compact, economical and powerful storage server, the NAS-7200 fits the storage requirements of SOHO or SMB. Supporting RAID-0/1 function, the used HDD space can easily increased up to double with RAID-0 or select RAID-1 for real-time data backup into another hard drive to prevent data lost. The original RAID function will ask user to install hard drives in the same model when storing data, however, the NAS-7200 features JBOD function enabling users to easily use any two different model hard drives to process data storage.

The NAS-7200 functions as a file / FTP / Web server and provides an easy way for LAN users to backup data or share files in Intranet and Internet. The embedded Bit-Torrent / FTP / HTTP client feature brings the most convenient way to download the shared resources from Internet. It also supports Print Server function for users to directly connect their printers to NAS-7200 for data sharing.

The NAS-7200 offers scheduling data backup up to 10 backup jobs simultaneously with no need of the third party backup utility on your PC or laptop The data backup can be executed in several ways such as NAS from/to PC, NAS to NAS, or NAS from/to other servers. For central management, user can also use the third party utility to backup the data.
